The URI Crew Club has a rich tradition of excellence producing several Olympic and World Champion athletes, as well as several of today’s top coaches. The club offers members the opportunity to engage in intercollegiate competition, with no experience necessary. We compete in regattas primarily in the northeast, against colleges from all over the U.S., including other club teams, and fully funded varsity programs. The fall is spent developing technique and competing in “Head” style racing (against the clock) including the prestigious Head of the Charles. Athletes spend the winter doing land training, in preparation for head to head sprint racing in the spring.
