Student Nurse Association (SNA)

University of Rhode Island College of Nursing's Student Nurse Association (SNA) is a pre-professional association that represents students preparing for the future as professional nurses. The association engages in a shared governance approach that encourages health related discussions, health advocacy and interdisciplinary collaboration among students across the university. Among its many activities within the university community, SNA emphasizes health promotion, healthy lifestyle and health equity issues. Its members seek to act as change agents and role models for other university student and the State of Rhode Island. Students in SNA have the ability to make professional contacts and provide an opportunity for networking with professionals from diverse backgrounds.
