URI's MCISE students learn to design next-generation products and systems in a range of vital industries, including the automotive, defense, medical or energy.

Our unique program provides hands-on experience in fully equipped laboratories and senior design capstone projects where students tackle a real engineering challenge at a local engineering company.  Students also gain valuable experience through internships working at esteemed engineering companies around the world.

Armed with this experience, graduates go on to rewarding careers in almost every industry. They are inventors, CEOs, managers, consultants, designers and more. But regardless of their career, they are all on the forefront of engineering innovation.
