The University of Rhode Island’s rural campus near the sea makes the College of Pharmacy unique among pharmacy programs in the East, where pharmacy is generally taught in urban communities. The URI College of Pharmacy is a professional school, but it is also an integral part of the University of Rhode Island.

The University of Rhode Island Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
