The primary mission of the Cancer Prevention Research Center is to enhance the quality and quantity of life through prevention of cancer, other chronic diseases and premature death.

The primary means is through basic and applied research and dissemination of our most effective behavior change technologies. Our aim is to develop better solutions to the most common killers and cripplers of our time, namely life-style factors like smoking, substance abuse, high risk sex, unhealthy diets and sedentary life styles.
