About this Group
The mission of Black Women in Medicine is to provide underrepresented black women with the skills, knowledge and experiences to professionally participate in health care fields and scientific disciplines. We strive to uplift the lives of women in the black community who aspire to obtain an occupation in medicine and/ or science. Through volunteer, unity, mentorship and research we strive to empower the minds of our future female health professionals. We plan to implement strategies for our future female physicians and healthcare professionals that will ensure that they are trailblazers in the scientific and healthcare field.
