Yom Kippur-The Highest Kol Nidre

A once-in-a-generation Kol Nidre event – experience a radical approach to the traditional melodies with Broadway actor Adam Kantor from The Band’s Visit on Broadway singing the melody and a cappella group Rak Shalom providing choral support.

Be immersed in an English reading of the text of Kol Nidre by actor Danny Burstein (Fiddler on the Roof, Moulin Rouge) along with an instrumental encounter with company members of the Tony Award-winning show The Band’s Visit. Take in a modern interpretation of the standard Sephardic melody by Iraqi-Israeli actor and singer Sharone Sayegh. Hear highlights from the Yom Kippur evening service, inspiring words from Rabbi Jessica Kirschner of Stanford University and original poetry from Blavity’s Aaron Samuels.
