Students who successfully complete the course will be able to teach American Red Cross swimming lessons. Absence from any of the classes will result in a failure of the course and forfeiture of the registration fee. Instructors are not permitted to make up missed material with participants. Water Safety Instructor Training books are provided to class participants upon registration.  Please review the following details if you are interested in becoming a WSI.

Course content alternates online simulation learning with in-person water skills sessions. The online simulation learning is completed outside of class time, while the in-person skills sessions are completed at the Tootell Aquatic Center during the scheduled course time.  All registrants will receive an email one week prior to the start of the class with a link to the American Red Cross online course material.  At this time, the registrant will pay a $35 non-refundable fee to the American Red Cross for access to this information.  Assigned lessons must be completed prior to the first date of the in-person class.
