As we create a vision for the University and what we aspire to achieve, we're reflecting on how we operate and the values and community standards that guide and unite us. A University Steering Committee has been created and will oversee and develop a planning process that will culminate in a University-wide, 10-year strategic plan.

The committee will be charged with:

• Outlining and overseeing a process that engages all the divisions of the University and key constituencies in the development of the University’s new strategic plan
• Developing key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure progress of the plan’s goals
• Analysis of trends, challenges, and opportunities impacting the higher education landscape currently and in the future
• Engagement of the URI community in contributing to the strategic plan
• Appointing task forces to develop strategies, actions, and indicators relative to potential goals for the new plan

The community is invited to join these forums to learn more and provide feedback on the University’s strategic planning process.
