About this Event
For three days in April, the North Woods Stewardship Project is encouraging students and faculty to explore the North Woods and identify as many species as possible!
4/23 - Birds and Mammals
4/29 - Plants, Reptiles, and Amphibians
4/30 - Insects
Each event for our North Woods Blitz will run all day, though there will be tables with wildlife and plant identification resources available from 8am - 4pm. You are free to join the Stewardship Project in the woods any time during the day! You can also get out to the woods in the early morning or later in the evening and submit any species you identify as a part of the BioBlitz.
There will also be a photo contest, art and poetry workshops, and ample opportunities to learn ID techniques out in the woods!
The main entrance to the woods is across Flagg Road from the Coastal Institute and there will be a table of students/faculty there to welcome participants.
(Before each day of our North Woods Blitz, you will also receive an email with specific event information)
