URI Music Voice and Piano Studios student recital
URI students from the voice studios of Margaret Frazier, Rene de la Garza, Caroline O'Dwyer and Mark Conley, and from the piano studio of Manabu Takasawa present an evening of solos and duets featuring lieder, arias and piano compositions. The performers will commemorate the birth anniversaries of German composer Felix Mendelssohn (210th) and Austrian composer Franz von Suppé (200th), and include compositions by Mendelssohn’s equally talented sister, Fanny Hensel.
