Please join us for a lecture from Dr. Riffat Naseem Malik, a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar at the Graduate School of Oceanography working in conjunction with Professor Rainer Lohmann's research laboratory. Dr. Malik also holds a tenured professorship in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad, Pakistan. Her presentation will focus on the aquatic resources of the Hindukush-Karakoram-Himalayan region, with a particular examination of the environmental contamination challenges confronting these pristine areas, which are significantly impacted by climate change and global warming.
