Tuesday, November 30, 2021 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Students (both undergraduate and graduate level) are invited to attend this virtual informational session to learn more about the national Boren Awards program, which funds study abroad in world regions critical to U.S. interests. Awards of up to $25K for undergraduate scholars and up to $37K for graduate fellows. In return, awardees agree to work in a federal position for a minumum of one year. You can read more about the program at borenawards.org.

Presentation will be given by Boren Outreach staff member and URI alumnus Chase Hall '20, who was a 2019 Boren Scholar to China.

URI students fare very well in this national competition, with a success rate that is much higher than the national average. We have produced 31 Boren Scholars and Fellows since the program's inception in 1994, the vast majority of those over the past 12 years.
