·  URI students of Japanese will showcase their talents related to the Japanese language and its culture.

·  The top three performers will receive a cash prize!

·  Nankin Tamasudare (traditional Japanese street performance) by a local Japanese artist, and Shaberiba mingling, will also be a part of the event!

The event title 芸はミーを助ける (げいはミーをたすける) was derived from a Japanese proverb 芸は身を助ける(げいはみをたすける) meaning “art brings bread” (literally, “talent helps your physical self.”) When in Japan, you might be surprised to discover how talents and skills beyond the Japanese language help foster friendships and open new doors.
