The URI Composers’ Concert will present new eclectic works by young composers from the studios of Eliane Aberdam, Joe Parillo, and Kirsten Volness. The concert will feature URI students from various studios: singers, string players, wind players, pianists, and jazz combos.
You will be mesmerized by pieces for trombone mixed with electronic media, by poems of Emily Dickinson set for two tenors, or by jazz tunes or pensive cello reflections; every moment of the concert will bring new delights to your ears.
Come hear the works by Katherine Loo, James Himmelmann, Ted Kutcher, Jon Howe, and Peter Kelmelis. The ink on the paper is still drying.
