We will be watching Avengers: Infinity War.  There will also be a consession stand with all your favorite movie snacks for purchase.  The theme is "Sleepover" so wear comfy pajamas, bring a blanket and pillow, and lounge out with your friends.

This is a fundraising event to establish a Veterans Emergency Relief Fund to alleviate financial uncertainties for those affected by the recent government shutdown.

The federal government has been in a partial shutdown for more than three weeks because Congress and the administration cannot reach an agreement on border protection.

The Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense have full-year appropriations and are not directly impacted by the shutdown. However, the U.S. Coast Guard and more than 150,000 veterans who are federal employees are very much impacted by the shutdown.

What the Coast Guard does daily allows the rest of us to sleep easier at night. No one should ever take that for granted.
