On the night before the penitential season of Lent, the 40 day period leading up to Easter, many Christian communities have the custom of indulging in sweet foods that may be given up during the ritual fasting of the Lenten season. St. Augustine's Episcopal Church and the URI Chaplains Association invite campus community members of all or no religious backgrounds to partake in this traditional pancake feast.
