David Markert, the chief engineer of the Aviation and Maritime Surveillance Systems Group at Progeny Systems Corporation, will give a lecture on “Innovation and Technology Insertion into the U.S. Department of Defense and the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Process.”

Markert has a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a master's degree in foreign affairs from the U.S. Naval War College and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He holds a Top Secret clearance.
