Free EventThe University of Rhode Island is once again hosting the third annual Rhode Island Food System Summit. Join government, academic, business, and community partners as we discuss the implementation of the Rhode Island Food Strategy and how we can support the food sector and our state into the future.

The event will include a keynote address from Kathleen Merrigan, former U.S. deputy secretary of agriculture and the inaugural executive director of the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems at Arizona State University. The event will also include a conversation with Danielle Nierenberg, president and co-founder of Food Tank, and Sue AnderBois, director of food strategy for the state of Rhode Island. A panel discussion and break-out sessions will examine key areas of the state’s food strategy.
