DESCRIPTION:As we continue to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month\, the Multicu
 ltural Student Services Center welcomes back alumnus (by way of Talent Dev
 elopment) Kevin Pajaro\, 15'. \n\nKevin will be returning to campus for Qu
 eriendo Conexión (Wanting Connection): Exploring Masculinity\, Vulnerabil
 ity\, and Relationships. Kevin will lead conversations on traditional idea
 s related to masculinity (assertive\; competitive\; providers\; protectors
 \; anti-feminine\; violent\; emotionless\, etc.). He will lead dialogue ab
 out the unasked-for and often-impossible expectations of men and the inter
 nalized pain\, shame\, and frustration of trying to achieve those expectat
 ions. He will also be discussing how harmful notions of masculinity make i
 t difficult for men to imagine that genuine connections centered on love\,
  care\, honesty\, accountability\, and vulnerability are possible for them
 . This session invites participants to hold intentional space for one anot
 her and be in dialogue about manhood.  It will also feature guest facilita
 tors Dr. Lazaro Camacho Jr.\, (02'\, 06')\, who serves as an assistant pro
 fessor and program coordinator of URI's College Student Personnel Program\
 ; and Carlos Estrada-Rosa This program is in collaboration w/ Brothers On 
 a New Direction\; the Dominican Alliance\;the Latin Student Association\; 
 the Muslim Student Association\; and the Society of Hispanic Professional
