Planning to apply to medical (MD/DO), podiatry, optometry, or dental school this cycle? The PATH Orientation is your starting point for a successful application season.

This workshop will introduce you to the PATH process: a structured support system that helps you prepare, organize, and submit your application with confidence. Whether you're applying to MD, DO, podiatry, optometry or dental programs, PATH breaks the process into manageable steps and connects you with personalized guidance along the way.

In this interactive session, you’ll:

  • Learn what the PATH process includes and how it supports your application journey
  • Understand key milestones, timelines, and deadlines for this application cycle
  • Start building your application portfolio, from personal statements to experience logs
  • Explore how to receive a committee letter through HPAC (for eligible students applying to MD/DO, podiatry, optometry or dental programs)
  • Get clear next steps and advising resources to keep you on track

You’ll leave with a better understanding of what’s expected this year and how to stay organized and supported throughout the application process.

All students applying this cycle are required to attend one (1) PATH Orientation, either in-person or virtual.

Consistent with its public mission, the University of Rhode Island provides equal opportunity and inclusive access to events, services, and programs regardless of protected status.
