Notes from a Filmmaker: Dr. Kendall Moore in conversation with collaborators of the Studio Lab

Dr. Kendall Moore and collaborators of the Studio Lab will join the URI Society for Women and Marginalized Genders in Marine Science (SWMS) chapter to share their work and what they've learned through documentary filmmaking. Moore is the director of the acclaimed documentary Harm in the Water, covering Black communities along the Mississippi River in their struggle for access to clean water. Moore and the Studio Lab have produced documentaries covering a variety of topics ranging from environmental health to issues of racial inclusion in STEM fields. This event will offer opportunities for dialogue with filmmakers as they share and discuss selected works from the Studio Lab filmography. Refreshments will be offered in the lobby at 4:30 p.m.
