This session is open to any current sophomore with a 3.0gpa or higher who would like to apply for the NOAA Hollings Scholarship. (If you did not attend the 10/21 informational session, please email kmaher@uri.edu to request background materials in advance.)

Bring your laptop, a draft of your resume, and your thinking cap! This hour will be devoted to working on your essay and application on your own while Kathleen Maher (Director, Office of National Fellowships & Academic Opportunities) and Dr. Jackie Webb (Director of the Marine Biology Program) circulate to help you with brainstorming and any questions which come up.  This will get you on your way to having a solid draft together BEFORE winter break, which will greatly aid your recommenders in preparing their letters of recommendation for the January deadline.  Come join us for this productive 90-minute working session!
