Are you a sophomore with at least a 3.0 GPA with a major* and career goals related to the mission of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency?

If so, do NOT miss out on this opportunity!  The NOAA Hollings Scholarship provides up to $19,000 in scholarship funds, a 10-week paid internship at a NOAA office after junior year, and more! Applications are due in late January 2022, but competitive applicants will begin the process at least six weeks in advance. URI students have great success in this competition, with four selected just last year, and 33 URI students have won this national award since 2005.

Come to this application workshop to recieve guidance and feedback as you draft your application. Current and former Hollings Scholars will join Dr. Jackie Webb (marine biology) and Ms. Kathleen Maher (Office of National Fellowships) to help you to craft a competitive application.
