An evening of original compostions by URI professors Eliane Aberdam, David Gilliland and Joseph Bentley will breang heat to the Fine Arts Concert Hall as part of the Music Department's University Artist Series .  Dr. Gilliland and professor Bentley will be playing piano and bass respectively.  Also performing will be Manabu Takasawa, piano, Alexey Shabalin, violin and Luis Víquez, bass clarinet.

The featured work will be Dr. Aberdam's Violin Concerto: In Memoriam of the Ukranian Fighters - Hope, Fallen Ones which was written for and premiered by the Kyiv Chamber Orchestra in 2023.
