Mark Mahosky The Yellow Drawings 1986-2019
About this Event
105 Upper College Road
Since 1984 Mark has visited and drawn battlefields and sites of the American Civil War throughout the eastern US. The drawings are black ink and charcoal on vivid yellow grounds with abstract borders depicting the now serene settings of bloody conflict. In Mahosky's latest work he has depicted scenes of contemporary conflict in the United States making a clear association between recent violent events and their relationship to our nations most decisive moment, The Civil War.
Consistent with its public mission, the University of Rhode Island provides equal opportunity and inclusive access to events, services, and programs regardless of protected status.
