University Artist Series - Making Music Behind Barbed Wires

Manabu Takasawa, piano and Yuriko Fauro, soprano present a lecture/recital on the musical activities in Japanese American incarceration camps during World War II.  Music includes folk songs, piano and vocal pieces by Japanese composers, and popular songs by George Gershwin and Cole Porter.
