About this Event
Juneteenth National Independence Day, which officially became a federal holiday in 2021, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and is considered the longest-running African American holiday.
Please join President Marc B. Parlange and the Office of Community, Equity and Diversity to honor this historical time with a celebration, including cultural food, music, games, and a short speaking program.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Joseph and Ruby DeChristofaro Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences.
