This URI Summer Faculty-led program focuses on the areas of sustainable and urban agriculture and local food cultures in the city of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Students will learn through immersion and hands-on learning workshops including visits to local farms and agribusinesses, farming and cooking workshops, a workshop on artisanal fishing, visits to vineyards, and nature hikes. Travel to the city of Naples and visit Pompeii, the Island of Procida, the Amalfi Coast, and the outskirts of Naples like Portici and Caserta to learn about sustainable agriculture and cultural heritage through an Italian lens.
