Join Janet Freedman, CRMC coastal geologist, and Pam Rubinoff, coastal resilience extension specialist for CRC and Rhode Island Sea Grant, for a walking tour of the Island Park, Portsmouth, shoreline, on the anniversary of the Hurricane of ’38. We will look at how the area has changed since 1938, what threats it faces today from natural hazards, and what the town is doing to be more resilient. On-street parking is available on Park Avenue between Mason and Riverside avenues, and we will meet on the beach side across from Flo’s Drive-in.
