URI Political Science students and faculty will release the 2023 Human Rights Report Cards/Global Rankings for all countries of the world. The event will feature presentations by Dr. Skip Mark, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies at URI and Dr. David Cingranelli, Professor and Director of the Human Rights Institute at Binghamton University, both Co-Directors of the CIRIGHTS Data Project, the largest human rights dataset in the world. URI students will give presentations that spotlight specific global human rights scores and trends, and the day will end with a poster session by political science students. Refreshments, a light dinner, and dessert will be provided. Those who cannot attend in person may attend by scanning the QR code included on the attached event flyer.
