Join the RI-AI Meetup and Dr. Thomas Serre for a critical assessment of our progress towards achieving human-level visual intelligence. His talk will consider the implications of the successes and limitations of modern computer vision algorithms for biological vision and the ability of neuroscience to inform the design of future artificial vision systems.
Bio:
Dr. Serre is an Associate Professor in Cognitive Linguistic & Psychological Sciences at Brown University. His research seeks to understand the neural computations supporting visual perception. He received a PhD in Neuroscience from MIT in 2006 and an MSc in EECS from Télécom Bretagne (France) in 2000.
