Honors Colloquium: Reimagining Gender: Voices, Power, Action
New ways of thinking about gender dominate our culture and politics today. At this pivotal moment in time, what is the (renewed) relevance of gender in shaping human rights in an increasingly diverse world? And how is our rising consciousness about gender leading to vibrant social conversations, rearrangements of power, and new possibilities?
This week: Gender in Politics: Voices, Power, Action. Panel discussion with Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo, Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea, and Rev. Donnie Anderson. Moderated by URI professor emerita and NPR commentator Maureen Moakley.
Free and open to the public.
