The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies or credit-bearing internships abroad while seeking to broaden the range of people who participate and locations where they study.  If you are a recipient of the Pell Grant, you may be eligible for up to $5,000 towards a study abroad program. An additional $3,000 supplement may be awarded if a student plans to study what is deemed a critical need language.  The URI Office of International Education will be offering information sessions for those interested in applying for the scholarship.  Since the program’s inception, URI has had over 100 Gilman Scholarship recipients!  To learn more visit: web.uri.edu/global/gilman
