Nobel Laureate Thomas Steitz will be among 30 internationally recognized biomedical scientists speaking at the University of Rhode Island’s first international biomedical sciences conference, "Frontiers in Pharmaceutical Sciences: Global Perspectives,"

Sept. 28 through 30. The conference will feature some of the most prominent names in the field and focus on two major areas: bench drug discovery (natural products, medicinal chemistry, biologics) and drug development stages (drug delivery, nanotechnology, toxicology, clinical pharmacology, drug metabolism, transporters and pharmacokinetics).
