Back by popular demand, our two-days, hands-on food preservation workshop will take place on the URI Kingston Campus on August 7 and August 21. Day one will include an overview of safe canning methods, followed by a hands-on activity using hot water bath canning. Day two will include an overview of safe freezing and drying techniques, followed by a hands-on activity using a pressure canner.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED! There is a $60 registration fee that includes a copy of the Ball Book: Guide to Preserving, supplies and a light dinner. To register, please email Nicole Richard, nicolerichard@uri.edu. You will then be asked to send in a non-refundable check, along with a simple form that Nicole will provide. Forms and checks must be received by August 1. First come, first serve. Spaces are extremely limited, so act fast!
