Faculty Office Hour is back, and this fall our focus is brain health.
Our first session will look at how URI's Community First Responder Program (CFRP) is providing resources and education to address opioid misuse, a significant health crisis in our state and nationwide. We'll join Anita Jacobson, Pharm.D., clinical professor in the College of Pharmacy and program director of the CFRP, to discuss the opioid overdose epidemic in Rhode Island. Dr. Jacobson will share critical data on opioid overdose and discuss the CFRP's impact in Rhode Island over the past 18 months.
The discussion will be moderated by Massiel Frias, program coordinator of the CFRP and licensed psychotherapist.
Big things are happening in classrooms, labs, and workspaces all over campus at the University of Rhode Island. Spend an hour with Dr. Jacobson and learn something new!
This virtual event will be streamed live on October 6. Register to receive the link to join.
