Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea will give a virtual talk linking the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the recent election and current trends in voting rights. Gorbea made history when she was sworn in on Jan. 6, 2015, becoming the first Hispanic elected to statewide office in New England.
The event is part of a yearlong virtual series, Long Rhode to the Vote: Suffrage Centennial Lecture Series.
