On February 13th, 2023 at 4:30pm Angela Gonzalez, (AGONZA) ’15 returns to campus as she will lead a small group paint workshop here at the MSSC in collaboration with the Black Student Union. AGONZA entered URI through the Talent Development Program and graduated with her B.A in Art, and a minor in Theater. She has been called a ‘revolutionist artist’ and her murals can be seen throughout the city of Providence and other places throughout the state. The authenticity of her work allows room for the representation of those who often go unnoticed while simultaneously uplifts her community. 

This is an opportunity to come together as a community to collectively express creativity while embracing and appreciating African American culture. Folks will work in pairs with someone they do not know to produce a large canvas painting. Supplies provided, space is limited. Register HERE to secure your spot!
