The Center for the Humanities invites you to join Professor Joelle Rollo-Koster (Department of History), one of the world’s leading experts on the papacy, for a timely talk that will demystify the papal conclave and how it works. In advance of the May 7 conclave to choose a successor to Pope Francis, Dr. Rollo-Koster will discuss why the conclave was created, what it meant for the history of the Catholic Church and the papacy, and how the upcoming conclave will work.

Consistent with its public mission, the University of Rhode Island provides equal opportunity and inclusive access to events, services, and programs regardless of protected status.
