DESCRIPTION:In this FREE professional development series\, early childhood 
 education professionals will be introduced to foundational information on 
 the concept and nature of psychological trauma as well as an overview of c
 ommon responses to traumatic stress in children and families. The effects 
 of traumatic stress on the developing brain will be discussed. Presenters 
 will offer trauma-informed interpretations of common behavioral issues as 
 well as strategies for implementing trauma-informed care in ECE settings. 
 Finally\, participants will engage in a guided discussion on the promotion
 /development of policies and procedures that are trauma-sensitive for chil
 dren\, teachers\, and administrators in ECE.
