Common Reading Program

 In conjunction with URI's Diversity Week, the Common Reading Program brings together a roundtable panel focused on Native American students' success and retention in higher education.

Speakers include: Aquinnah Wampanoag Linda Coombs, David A. Patterson, PhD, George Warren Brown School of Social Work at the University of Washington, St. Louis; Steve Stonearrow, Little Thunder Medicine Society; and Sonia Thomas, URI student and member of the Narragansett Tribe.

Co-sponsored by the Provost’s Office, Community, Equity, and Diversity, Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies, Department of Writing and Rhetoric, Gender & Women’s Studies Program, the LGBTQ Center, and Student Affairs Diversity Fund.
