Now that everyone’s had a chance to get settled, we would like to invite everyone to attend our 2022 Ice Cream Social event on September 19, from 3:00-4:30 pm in the Multi-Cultural Student Services Center! Our Ice Cream Socials are an excellent way for Chinese Flagship students to meet laoshis and each other, as well as find out about scholarship and study abroad opportunities. At this year’s social, we will have mix-and-mingle time, as well as time to ask questions of:· 

1. Office of International Education (OIE)

2. Upperclassmen who have participated in programs such as:

o    The URI 8-week domestic summer immersion program (Chinese Flagship Immersion Program, CFIP)

o    Study abroad summer immersion program (MTC; ICLP)

o    Capstone

During a portion of the Social, they will be standing at an easel with information on the programs they attended or scholarships to which you can apply. 

If you want to meet upper- and lower-classmen, if you have questions about the Chinese Flagship Program, scholarships, or if you have any questions about the programs that you’ll be participating in in the future, you should definitely attend!
