This faculty-led travel course, planned for Summer 2026, is an immersive three-credit (AAF 401) study abroad program that explores the political, cultural and social economy of Cabo Verde. This year there is a particular focus on youth, democracy, and development. Participants will visit three of the ten islands that represent the Republic of Cabo Verde and sample local cuisine, learn the history of the nation, interact with the local community and culture, visit museums, beaches, and pristine natural landscapes.
