Six year old Calix, a first grader at Stony Lane Elementary in North Kingstown, is a friend to everyone -- kind, loving, always willing to help others. He loves Pokemon, hiking adventures with his family, and laughing with his beloved little brother Lennox. Calix is also battling Fanconi Anemia, a rare inherited disease that can cause bone marrow failure, cancer, and affects many parts of the body. Calix needs a marrow  transplant to survive. Oftentimes, blood transfusions are needed with patients who have been diagnosed with Fanconi  anemia.
