Do  you have a passion for learning languages? Would you like to increase your proficiency or add an additional language to your repertoire? Administered by the Rhode Island Foundation, the Demers Foreign Language Fellowship Program provides funding of up to $20,000 for foreign language immersion programs.

Regardless if you are a freshman/sophomore/junior, or a graduating senior, a graduate student, or an alum still residing in Rhode Island, or a URI Faculty or Staff member, you receive PREFERENCE in this application pool based upon your URI affiliation!   Since its inception in 2011, the Demers fund has awarded more $2.5M to URI-Affiliated applicants!
