Ernest McMillan is a veteran human rights activist who, as a member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), organized across Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia in the 1960s and served as the Chairman of the Dallas branch from 1967- 1969. He continued his efforts into the late-twentieth century, working with the National Black United Front, the United League of Mississippi, and others on issues spanning from mass incarceration to educational justice to environmental racism.
