How can faculty and staff be allies to the international student community? How many international students are enrolled at URI?  Which countries are represented by the international student community?  How does an international student get to Rhode Island?  How do visa regulations impact their experience in the US?  What challenges do international students face? This session introduces the international student community at URI, an overview of an international student’s experience, and practical ways in which faculty and staff can be more aware and supportive of URI international students.
