In celebration of Women's History Month, the Student Alliance for the Welfare of Africa (SAWA) is collaborating with the Latinx Student Association (LSA), and the MSSC for a discussion on menstrual/reproductive health.
Please join us on 3/21 from 4-6pm in the MSSC's Hardge Forum.
We will have Dr. Carolyn Howard serving as a consultant of Health Services providing her expertise. Dr. Howard will be highlighting the role of black women whose bodies were used to build the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology without acknowledging their role.
We will also have a period cramp simulator, which contracts the muscles to imitate abdominal cramps, similar to what many experience during menstruation while still going about their daily activities----for those interested in knowing what it feels like .
We hope to see you there!
