The Tri-State SARE project (funded through Northeast SARE and USDA) is a collaboration among the Universities of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. For over 14 years, this project has helped farmers and the professionals who work with them learn more about raising healthy animals and the development & sustainable use of pasture.

Registration is now open for our 2026 Tri-State SARE Project webinar series, focusing on livestock carcass performance:

February 18: Animal Physiology’s Role in Carcass Performance

March 10: Forage Composition and Quality for Optimal Carcass Performance

April 2: Nutritional Impacts on Carcass Performance and Meat Quality

April 14: Online Discussion Group

The webinars are open to both service providers and farmers and while attendees will get the most out of the series if they attend all three webinars, it is not a requirement. There is no fee to attend the webinars. Learn more and register by visiting: https://livestock.extension.uconn.edu/sare/

Consistent with its public mission, the University of Rhode Island provides equal opportunity and inclusive access to events, services, and programs regardless of protected status.
